In the book Charlie St. Cloud Charlie found Tess. He had determaination to find her. She was a spirit when they went out on a date. She started to fade away on their second date. She left him a note that said come find me. Thats when he tried to find her again. At the beginning he gave up. Right now in the chapter he is waiting in the hospital.
