The Private Notebook of Katie Roberts

I am reading The Private Notebook of Katie Roberts it is about a 11 year old girl who's father died in the war and her mom has married another man who she doesn't like and he wants to adopt her but she doesn't like him. She had to move to Texas and she doesn't like it because she doesn't have any friends and when she does get friend they always get into a argument but they always work it out. Then a boy who was in Katies class really liked the New York Yankees and when he got tickets to one of their games in New York he gets on the train to go to New York and that is where Katie is from so she decides to go with him. She wrote a note to her pen pal Mrs.Leitstein and says she is coming to New York then she wrote a note to her mom and Sam saying where shes going and where shes going to stay. When her mom and Sam find the note Sam goes to the train station to get her and the boy from her class and Sam had called the boys parents and they came to get him. When they got home Katie's mom was getting ready to have her baby and when they got to the hospital and she had the baby it ended up to be TWINS and they now had the full family they wanted. Ashley
